What a Mascot Reminded Us About Local Hiring
Hiring is hard. Especially for small businesses in North Central Arkansas. You’re busy running your operation, short on time, and the last thing you need is another no-show or unqualified applicant. What you really need is someone who shows up, brings energy, and fits your team.
That idea hit home at the Batesville Business Expo—of all places—when we crossed paths with Homer, the Home Depot mascot. He had a giant fuzzy head, oversized boots, and regular clothes. He was hard to miss. And it reminded us of something simple: the power of visibility.
Visibility Builds Trust (and Better Teams)
You don’t have to wear a mascot costume to be seen, but showing up matters. At Synergy HR, we’re not just pushing résumés. We’re showing up at ribbon cuttings, business expos, and Chamber events because we’re part of this community.
We know that when local businesses see us in the same rooms they’re in, they trust us to understand their needs—and their pace. That trust helps us make better matches and deliver faster results.
You Don’t Have to Do It Alone
When hiring gets overwhelming, most business owners feel like they have to figure it out by themselves. But you don’t. We can step in, listen to what you need, and take the pressure off your plate. Whether you’re hiring one person or five, we’re here to help.
Let’s Make Hiring Easier
If you’re ready for someone who shows up (and maybe even brings pom-poms), let’s talk. Our Why Synergy HR page breaks down how we help, and our Harrison and Batesville pages make it easy to get in touch.
